The thing is in Nigeria, none of us want to die! Mama dey for house, papa dey for house, 1 get one child, 1 get 1 fowl, la la la la la... Fela said it a long time ago and everything is still true.


Labour is currently organising a nationwide protest in selected states of the country.

The thing is, it is from such protests that a formidable strugggle should be developed. What is wrong with doing the protests all at the same time in all the states of the country.

If the country is "run down" for 2 weeks everyday or for a longer period, it is not too much sacrifice for us to pay to start the process that will emancipate us.


Let the Labour Protest "snow ball" into a revolt and let us see where we go from there.

We must pay a price for our emancipation. Our daily sufferings far outweighs that price that we will pay for our freedom.

The people of this country are slaves but they don't see it that way. They must fight, for themselves and for their unborn children. WE MUST FIGHT OUR WAY...TO FREEDOM.

The time is now or NEVER.

So, there is your answer, Nigerians can change the fate of the nation by simple going out to revolt against the cabal that held it hostage for this long.

Thanks Dr Osineye for this article.The main problem is that many people in Nigeria do not know who their oppressors are and have become ethnic bigots and gladiators promoting ethnic hatred against others.It has become part of the life of Nigerians both the educated and the ignorant.That is why the politicians are using it to their advantage.While the masses are pointing accusing fingers at each other because of religious and ethnic difference, the politicians are busy siphoning the treasury and will smile to their banks to check how much billons have accumulated because nobody can checkmate their looting; people are busy fighting each other over issues that do not matter at all.The community of the looters may even confer honarary titles on them.
When the expulsion of the Fulani from wase was discussed in this forum, surprisingly many people were happy and even supporting them. They were even labeling the Fulani as Islamic terrorist ,not minding they are common masses like any other Nigerian. Because since they don’t share the same faith or ethnicity with them they must be culprits.It didn’t matter to them that the Fulanis deported may not even be Muslims as to call them Muslim terrorist. They don’t know that the hausa/fulani society has produced brilliant people that are not Muslims like Prof Ishaya Audu[pioneer ABU VC] and was both physician and a missionary. Prof Adamu Baikie and DR Russel Aliyu Barau Dikko[first medical doctor of Northern extraction and physician to Ahmadu Bello].Dr R.A.B Dikko was the founding chairman of Northern People congress[NPC],even before Ahmadu Bello was elected later.These notable northerners were Hausa Fulani Christians not Muslims.
Some people make their perception about others on what they hear from other people.My interaction with many Nigerians has made me to judge every person on his personal merit.I don’t attribute evil to any tribe or religion but rather to perpetrator of that evil act.Just because there are Muslim terrorist else, where I cannot call northern Muslims terrorist,neither can I call any person from Niger delta militant. Today some of my best friends do not belong to my ethnic group or my religious belief.
Nigerians must jettison this evil act of casting aspersions and hatred on other Nigerians that are not of the same tribe and religion with them and rather focus their attention on those that has siphoned our money, denied us of good roads, education and electricity. Those thieving politicians do not have any tribe to protect, but rather connive regardless of tribe and religion to loot our treasury. The masses must resolve not to be gullible again; to be deceived by these people into spreading hatred and violence against others just because they share different faith or ethnicity.
We must condemn this acts of looting from any body muslim christian or whatever.Lawyer must resist the temptation of depending them in courts and the whole society must rise up against them.They should resolve not to cast their votes again for any looter and should vote for credible people and also depend thier votes. That is the way out of this mess.
