| Re: I Am Back In Nigeria Sabbella Abbidde is an excellent fiction writer... I like his stories... even when I am sure that the stories are untrue... embelished, sexxed-up faction...(fact-fiction) He did not Double-Dutch any lady anywhere! It should be seen for what it is... a TALE, and interesting spin of a TALE
I have joked in the past that if he writes about snow, I will probably read it for his cheerful presentation skills.
Speaking for myself... when I invite a man, a woman, a colleague to coffee, lunch or dinner... be sure I am paying... whether in New York or in Nnewi
If you have, in the first place, earned my respect, trust, admiration, friendship or camaraderie etc
Not long ago, someone, an Italian American lawyer, invited a guy and myself etc to his birthday celebration... where we were to be entertained also do some networking... at the end of it all, the restaurant demanded payment for what I consumed... (food and drinks) I was annoyed/disappointed!
Because I never would invite anyone and expect them to pay!
This is not even about the GENDER or war of the roses or equality... This is just about decency... I can take myself to whatever restaurant or bar...and pay my way... I do not need your invitation/confinement/restriction... then pay!

| Re: I Am Back In Nigeria The most interesting thing about this story is how interesting it is that things seemed to have evolved in Nigeria... but Sabbella seemed to have stayed the same (or even gone backwards) in the 30yrs he was away.
