Default Of Looters, Leaders And The Efcc List

However, I’d like to letMrs Farida Waziri and the EFCC know that Nigerians are not impressed with this list of 56 mostly minor rogues (the names of such people as Olabode George, Orji Kalu, Iyabo Obasanjo, and some foreigners notwithstanding)stealing only N243 billion – less than £1 billion). There should be more important names on that list; the list is much longer and the amount is much, much more. ...Read the full article.

Farida Waziri is a toothless bull dog. He has not done any thing in 2 years to fight corruption beyond mere rhetorics.

Thank you for this article. I'm sure that the apologists for the government will say this list is a step in the right direction, little by little the monkey climbs the tree.

However, as I'm sure you know, the answers to your question is simple. All the other names are not on the list because they are a) friends with the right people, at present, or b) have got enough dirt on those in power to use as leverage. Who knows, in a few years, those friends may have lost their influence, and we might see a few more names come up. But I wouldn't hold my breath for IBB to appear!

I believe it was mentioned somewhere in the Holy Book that the children of the bridegroom will not suffer while he is around. Why should we expect any thing different in Nigeria?

---------------------

This is utter RUBBISH! Mrs Farida Waziri has lost 10 points from my rating of her. The big looters are in Abuja and most of them are Alhajis. I did not see their names there.

Where are the looters of NNPC, PTDF, DPR, Works, Agric, NEPA, NITEL,Halliburton, Julius Berger, Siemens, FIRS, Nigeria Customs, Power and Steel, State House, Ecological fund, all the federal Ministries and agencies, etc, etc, etc...Where are the governors of the North west and North East? Is Farida giving them a clean bill of health? Who is the fool out there that believes her?

Take a look Felix's compendium on Endless Corruption. Please check through the compilation so far and see if this list is in any way reflective of the true Federal character of corruption.

We must resist the temptation to accept the corrupt tendency of potraying corruption as southern malaise. No, it is not. While, I accept that it cuts accross tribes and region, Northern Nigeria (MOSLEM northern Nigeria that is) is the undisputed champion of Public sector corruption in Nigeria.

We must do all within our powers to reject this latest attempt at false labelling. Ribadu did it and got away with it. We must not allow Farida Waziri to continue along the same line.

Shine your eyes everyone...

you mean Odili, Uba, and IBB are not on that list, then who is?...... Tompolo?

what remains is for Mrs Waziri to start arresting bus conductors who skim N20 off the money due to their drivers.

what a waste of space.
