Default Love Me Some Roots Reggae Jam

I love me some reggae and here are collection of my favorite artists and their songs.

Jimmy Cliff and this particular song "Sitting in Limbo" is just awesome and bring back such deep memories of my Dad waking the household up to the melodious music of Jimmy Cliff and other great reggae artists. Enjoy.

Sitting Here In Limbo

I Can See Clearly Now

Many Rivers To Cross

Wild World

Sooner Or Later

The Lion Sleeps Tonight

Valteena,

Welcome back girl! Smile.

I abosulely love Jimmy Cliff. For some reason, I don't se him as a Raggae artist, even though that how he is marketed. It doesn't matter. My favorite song is Too Many Rivers to Cross. For some reason it reminds me of Sam Cook's "Its Been A Long Time Coming." I saw him some years ago in a live concert. He was all over the stage. I need music to touch my spirit in some way. Jimmy touches me, and I am partial to the name Jimmy since my papa and brother are Jimmies.

Thanks Pooky. Its good to be back and you and others have put a smile on my face.

True some of his songs are more soulful than reggae but his genre is intrinsically reggae I suppose because of the messages they relay such as this song here.

No Justice

Peace

John Crow

I sure feel you about his music touching one's spirit and I think he is absolutely the deal. Love him too and I agree completely about the song "Many Rivers" it's such a very powerful powerful song it's just mind blowing to me.
