A quick comments on this issue.

I have read with amusement, but its not funny, the discussion on the thread on violence between African Immigrants and African Americans the various descriptions of the word *****.

The fact is when used is regards to the African American, it is used as a derogratory word even though we now use it to describe them in everyday conversations. Its as simple as that. It was not the case a few years ago, but it is the case now.

What next for the Ex-militants from the Niger Delta? Is the FG capable?

On my recent trip to Lagos, I noticed a uniformed force on the roads that assisted with the direction of traffic. I thought there were local government officials, but my brother clarified: No, they are members of the OPC, they have more or less be transformed to a civic force that assists the Lagos state government with various activities, one main one, Traffic control and dealing with Lagos chaotic traffic jams....

Consider this:

When do we get our due, how do we blow our own trumpet? Recall the Liberian Crisis. An African solution lead by Nigeria, ECOMOG, however bad, stepped in, and brought back democracy. (Same with Sierra Leone even though the British have successfully stolen the credit there). Just like the US lead coalition of NATO in Afghanistan.

We stopped the warring fractions, zipped Yomri Johnson off to Nigeria, arranged some kind of election and allowed Charles Taylor...
