Omaks' Speakers Corner Series

Quote:
Today i start a new initiative with a bit of trepidation. I am aiming to kickstart a trend that may proof popular with fellow forumites on NVS, or fall flat on it's face. Pure and simple, i want to recreate a 'Speakers' Corner' through my blogs. (Posted Oct 5, 2008 at 11:11 AM)

Anyway, Amanda must have been very hungry this morning 'cos seeing that Paul was not forthcoming...

Travelling on the Train from Work Yesterday

This is only me exhaling some serious discomfort while on my way home from work yesterday. I'm not even sure this si going to be a new topic, and certainly i must have travelled on the same route home countless times without bothering whether the 'First Class' car on the train was fully occupied or not.

However, yesterday i was highly incensed. The train was due to depart within 4 minutes of me reaching the train station,...

No more excuses, no more justifications, and that's why i feel bold to celebrate my achievement by creating a tinny whinny bit of awareness of the benefits of giving up smoking CIGARETTES.

I remember in them days, we used to call our siga Opa faaji

Nigeria Needs Change: Can We?

Nigeria 's a funny country i tell you. I just couldn't stop wondering for a moment how could we as Nigerians tolerate all the mismanagement, harrassment, inept political leadership and many more in our country. 44 years down the line there is still no uninterrupted supply of electricity. There abound in our various societies dilapidated schools at Primary, Seconday and Tertiary levels. Our Healthcare system is in shambles, social welfare is a non - starter,...
