Hhmm, what am wondering is why we have not had other Shoko-Mulan 2009 on this site.

NVS is a haven and melting pot of some really beautiful, intelligent, single and available young women, mixed in with good looking, well behaved and hard working, eligible young Nigerian men, so what is stopping more romance from forging on and relationships from waxing strong?

I know there are several dating scenes out there and some of us belong to several of them. I should know because not too long ago, i used to belong to match.com, eharmony.com, meetnigeriansingles.com, ebonysingles.com,nigeriansingles.com,christiansing les.com

Infact, i have posted my profile on so many such single and dating sites that i've even forgotten my password to some of these sites and i know the same applies to some villagers here, even if some people would rather die than admit it.....hhmmm.

What i find most interesting though is that, of all of these sites, the NVS is the only site you can interact freely and openly and all for free.

Here you meet very intelligent and well spoken Nigerians who share similar passions and dreams with you.

We have several forums that aid in connecting similar minded people, from Single and loving it... to Relationship Avenue, from NVS bloggers forum, to poem lovers corner, to football fantasia to book lovers corner, name it we have it and we have some of the best minds, male and female interacting on these forums, sharing ideas, information, jokes, tips and snippets of their lives, and yet, yet we have so little evidence of ongoing romance and relationships.

I recently met a beautiful lady who said i should not call it hook-up, that it sounds derogatory, so i prefer to say connect, more people should connect socially and hopefully take it to the next level.

I know we have some NVS aunties here who would be only too happy to scoop out the person of interest and give all the advice and counsel for a successful mating and matching detail, we also have some experienced ladies that would vouch for some of our members here, so abeg, dear villagers, especially our sistahs, make una take am easy on our brodahs, showing interest in you, ease up a little bit, give him a chance, let him prove himself and show you how sincere he is.

Same goes for our men too, make una open up and be honest and down to earth. I have met some really beautiful women on this site and i know they're interested, but us guys have to lead and take the bull by the horn.

Seriously, we need more Shoko-Mulan 2009.

hhmm, my people, indeed love is a good thing o, and that's why i strongly advocate and recommend it.

when romance and relationships blossom on this site, we would have less conflicts and controversies, cos then people would spend their energy loving and being loved.

    @emj,
hhmm, if under G moves are going on,then we await the good news when things has moved to the next stage. my ears are itching o .

    @ Ph3y, Alexa and Juno,
you ladies happen to know some of the good looking and eligible brodahs here and am urging you to be nice to us, be patient with us even when we don't have the courage to be open about what we want, give us lots of encouragements and we shall own up to our feelings and do the right things .

    @ Auspy,
my broda from anoda mama, abeg, our men need to be assertive when it comes to these NVS women o jare. some of them just dey timid and refuse to say their mind.
hhmm, i see some fine women here and i know some men searching, so why can they not connect, instead of beating about the bush?

Oga N.A.R, beating about the bush does not achieve anything o.
i remember that was my tactics in secondary school, and while my more daring assertive classmates had the best looking and hottest chics, i had to contend with the left overs and when i gather courage, the babe go tell me say she dey be friend Ola, or Biodun, or Segun, cos i was too timid...hhmm.

hhmm, rina, if your avatar is anything like your real self, then i won't be surprised if some of our eligible male villagers have you on their radar screen and invade you with PM, all am asking however, is that you give them a chance to express their sincere and heartfelt affection for you, and even when they beat about the bush, abeg, be understanding and patient, they will get to the koko of the matter in their own time, with encouragements from you, of course.

hhmm Countess, me i have no idea where all the codes and coding will come from o, you know i do my things openly.

if village elders like you give the single and searching villagers encouragement and support, especially the women here, am sure more Shoko-Mulan will follow.

hhmm, Auspy, i would strongly recommend that every single sistah reads that article you posted and take note.

Especially they should read it with an open mind and not be in a rush to jump to conclusions or make judgments.

I like the entire piece, because it's so true, particularly the "cookies" part, but some women still have not realised this and make a lot of wahala about it.
