One of the things I've noticed recently on NVS is the tendency for several people to misspell the name of the Democratic Party aspirant for President. His name, as many of you will know is Barack Obama... but it seems many of us think it is spelt Barrack Obama.

This is actually an interesting case of misspelling - it happens when the name is very close in spelling to a word that you are already familiar with, so you end up simply assuming that it is the word you are familiar with....
