The five love languages for singles - Dr Gary Chapman
The five love languages for singles - Dr Gary Chapman

The five love languages are quality time, words of affirmation, acts of service, gifts and physical touch. Interestingly, each language has a different dialect so this makes having a relationship more interesting.

Who Is An African?
Who Is An African?

Who is an African? At face value, the answer seems obvious. Surely, everyone knows who the African is, it would seem. But the answer becomes less obvious once other probing qualifiers are added to the question. How is the African identity constructed in the face of the mosaic of identities that... Read more

Pathos of a Wilting Rose
Pathos of a Wilting Rose

I found this book riveting and an unpredictable sequel to the prequel, A rose in bloom. this author is relatively unknown but with this book, wouldn't be for too long.

The vivid narrations and twist make for a compelling read. Chimamandu, you've got competition.

True Compass
True Compass

From its very first pages, Edward "Ted" M. Kennedy's book, True Compass (which is actually a narrative borne out of about 50-years of copious notes and recordings compiled by the late patriach of the Kennedy family), makes a riveting read from its very first pages.

The Great Judge
The Great Judge

The Great Judge is another very easy read bearing the imprint of Charles Chuka Aniagolu, who worked here with Dr. Phillip U. Effiong, son of the Biafran legend. It is a well-researched book with loads of materials that must have taken endless searches to compile, thanks to Dan Chima Amadi. Indeed,... Read more

They Lived Before Adam, Prehistoric Origin of Ndigbo, The Never -Been-Ruled

The discoveries at Ugwuele show that the 'out of Africa' migrations were more or less an 'out of Igboland' migration and that Igboland was original home of Homo Erectus and that all of those who migrated out of Africa were Igbo ambassadors.

The Eagle in its Flight

The Eagle In Its Flight is a very captivating and urbane, yet unvarnished account of Udoma’s deep personal experiences, all rendered in a seamless flow and with erudite, legal-minded and incomparable storytelling skills. Though posthumously published, this is an illuminating, rare and intimate... Read more

The Thing Around Our Necks By Reuben Abati

Chimamanda is a gift to World literature. That girl is bound to go places. She writes, she really does, certainly better than all the ghosts pretending to be brilliant in the Nigerian public space. As a trained literary critic, I confess that I have nothing but absolute praise for her.
