Programme Manager Needed in Cross River State

I have been asked to help identify a Programme Manager for an Agriculture Programme in Cross River State.

The programme aims to promote commercial agriculture, working primarily with rural farmers, and to position Cross River State as the leader in agribusiness in Nigeria. Key components include encouraging private investment in agriculture and agribusinesses, securing access to local and international markets for promoted crops and ensuring application of cutting edge technology for agricultural development.

The individual will live in Calabar but must be ready to travel extensively within the state. In addition to the requisite skills, this job requires unusual commitment and a determination to make things work, sometimes by adopting approaches that might be considered unorthodox in a Nigerian civil service setting.
