| Re: "Nigeria, Enough is Enough!" Protest March ----------- Let's Do Away with Perfidious Slogans
I am surprised that for the upteempt time otherwise intelligent Nigerians are about to fall, or have fallen to yet another Ribadu magic. I am refereing to the so-called "Enough Is Enough" protest anchored on the childish and unintelligible gibberish by Ribadu at the Gani memorial in New York.
Have we forgotten so soon the origin of that infamous phrase? Have we forgotten that that was the phrase with which Abacha announced his determination to deal decisively with the opposition forces led by NADECO???? Hello ooooo!!! Are you guys by any chance awake at all?
There must be a limit to sheepish hero worshipping. While I support every legitimate initiative to salvage Nigeria, it must be done within reason and common sense. "Enough is Enough", just like Ribadu himself brings back sad memories of a past that is better forgotten.
I hereby call on the organizers to immediately change the battle cry or theme to something more inspiring and positive. The Concerned Professional (of which I was a member) led by Pat Utomi had a slogan known as NEVER AGAIN. If the organizers cannot think of another phrase, could they please use "Never Again"?
Mr. Ribadu should kindly leave us alone to sort out the mess they unleashed on us. He should learn originality and desist from cheap copies and parody.
If the organizers do not urgently change the battle cry, I can assure you that the protest will end up as a monumental failure. If Ribadu has forgotten Abacha and what he represented, some of us have not.
Wake up Nigerians...

In last one week, more than 5 members have responded exactly same way you did. I am equally bored of reading how boring my Ribadu posts have become.
So boring...
