Hmmm.....i've observed for quite a while that there are many needs that might be met through prayers hence my starting this thread.

You can post your request for prayers anonymously or openly, as many as are led can join you in praying, it is voluntary. It's been on my mind for a while. If you also have a word to share please do so. You can also share your testimony if led to do so.

PS.........am not trying to foist any religion on anybody, it's just that my heart goes out to a lot of people when they share their problem here.
Remember to let go and let God.

A simple prayer:
Father God, look not at our Carnality, but at that which your son our lord and saviour Jesus Christ did on the cross of Calvary. You because of your love for us, made him a sacrifice for the remission of our sins.
Almighty Father,
Assist me to be a mature Christian and not a baby Christian.
Assist me from the assaults, frivolities and filthy lucre of today Pastors (male and female alike).
Help me to withstand the confrontations of AV.

The song How Great is Our God was dropped in my heart as I was reading this thread. Please see the lyrics below. i pray that the Lord God will manifest his greatness in my life and all those who believe in him today and for the rest of this year............Amen!

How great is our God
How great is His name
How great is our God
Forever the same
He rolled back the waters
Of the mighty Red Sea
And He said, "I'll never leave you,
Put your trust in Me"

Eherm Peterosa...dats simple, wats destined for the rocks can only be salvaged if both parties repent and decide to give it another shot(apart from great deliverance being wrought)....marriage is not by fire by force

Eherm, i wish u all the best in life...do ur best and leave the rest

Please pray for marriages that are yet to be fruitful. The devil has been attacking marriages in this area in this generation. Pray for marriages to be fruitful and to break the curse of barrenness. I cannot count the number of young couples I know, Christians suffering, especially when faced with cultural pressure and oppression on this issue.

Pray for the pregnant women as well for Hebrew style delivery and pray against death in child birth. God bless you as you pray sincerely. Amen.

THE ROOT OF BITTERNESS

"See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many." Hebrews 12:15

The enemy of our souls has a very specific strategy to destroy relationships. Whether these relationships are in business, marriage, or friendships, the strategy is the same.

A conflict arises, judgments are made, and feelings are hurt. What happens next is the defining point of whether the enemy gains a foothold, or the grace of God covers the wrong.

When a root of bitterness is allowed to be planted and grown, it not only affects that person, but it also affects all others who are involved. It is like a cancer.

Breaking satan's foothold requires at least one person to press into God's grace.

It cannot happen when either party "feels" like it, for none of us will ever feel like forgiving.

None of us feel like talking when we have been hurt.

Our natural response is to withdraw or lash out at the offending party.

It is only obedience that allows God's grace to cover the wrongs incurred. This grace prevents the parties from becoming victims who will seek compensation for their pain.

The next time you are hurt by someone, realize the gravity of the crossroads where you find yourself.

Choose grace instead of bitterness.

Then you will be free to move past the hurt, and a root of bitterness will not be given opportunity to grow.

Default Sin Cannot Stop God’s Grace!

Sin Cannot Stop God’s Grace!

Romans 5:20
20Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,

When a top executive is charged for corruption or a church minister is caught in the very act of adultery, you will probably hear the phrase “fallen from grace” being used of them. We have come to believe that when someone falls into sin, he falls from grace.

But God wants us to know that when someone falls into sin, he does not fall from grace — he actually falls into grace! Thank God His grace is there to put the person back on his feet.

The Bible tells of prostitutes and corrupt tax collectors — sinners — who fell into God’s grace and got back on their feet. If the sin in their lives could stop God’s grace, they would never have been able to receive His grace of healing, help and power to live right.

Now, it is important you understand that God hates sin because it destroys our lives, relationships and bodies. Sin is evil! But sin is not overcome by us talking about it and relying on our willpower to overcome it. It takes God’s grace to destroy sin. In fact, it is when you are under His grace that sin has no dominion over you. (Romans 6:14) It is when you see His grace in providing His Son to put away your sins and make you eternally righteous that sin will not dominate you.

The devil will say to you, “You think that you can still expect God’s blessings after what you did this morning?” That is when you must remind yourself that Christ alone is your perfection and righteousness. All of us have faults. None of us deserve God’s blessings. That is why we plead the grace of God, which is His unearned, unmerited and undeserved favor toward us.

Sin does not and cannot stop God’s grace. If His grace can be cut off by sin, Jesus would never have come to save us because we were all terrible sinners. But praise God, “where sin abounded, grace abounded much more”!

My friend, God’s grace is bigger, deeper, wider and more powerful than all the world’s sins put together. Receive His grace right now to walk in total victory over that weakness or evil habit in your life!

Climb a Tree

Read Luke 19:1 through 20:47

So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way (Luke 19:4).

Zacchaeus didn’t have many friends. His reputation was not good. In a society where tax collectors were allowed to pull a few tricks to obtain more money for themselves, people disliked wealthy men like Zacchaeus.

But with Jesus coming into town, Zacchaeus refused to let his reputation rob him of a chance to meet the Teacher. He had heard about Jesus. That wasn’t enough, though. He wanted to know Jesus for himself.

Zacchaeus also refused to let the crowd or his own lack of height stop him. He rushed ahead and climbed a tree. Jesus noticed the short man in a fig tree. Christ’s response surprised the crowds—He invited himself to the house of Zacchaeus.

The life of Zacchaeus was never the same. Salvation came his way. He changed his behavior and corrected his wrongs. Why? One reason: Jesus. The chance Zacchaeus took paid off. He met the Teacher and was totally changed.

Challenge for Today: Take a chance to climb a tree and see Jesus. He will just change you as well.

Quicklook: Luke 19:1–10

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." (Matthew 11:28-30, The Message)
