In the natural realm, we exchange money for the things we want and need. But in the spiritual realm, faith is what we exchange. The Bible tells us that when you pray, have faith, and you will receive it. Faith moves mountains. Faith pleases God. Faith is what opens doors. What is faith? It’s believing in God and His goodness. It’s knowing that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Faith is believing that the promises of God are true. It’s obeying His Word. Faith causes you to act. Where does faith come from? Everyone is given a measure of faith. Romans tell us that faith grows by hearing the Word of God. The more you hear the Word of God, the more real it becomes in your life and the easier it is to believe His promises. It doesn’t matter how much faith you have today, begin investing your faith by choosing to obey God’s Word. As you hear and obey the Word, you will be empowered by faith, and you will move forward into the abundant life God has in store for you!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for the power of Your Word at work in my life. I submit myself to You today and ask that the seeds of faith in my heart grow strong. I open my heart to You and ask You to remove any doubt or unbelief so that I can serve You with my whole heart all the days of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“The world in which we live is full of pessimism. No Christian has the scriptural right to go around wringing his hands wondering what we are to do in the face of the present world situation. The Scripture says that in the midst of persecution, confusion, wars and rumors of wars, we are to comfort one another with the knowledge that our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back in triumph, glory and majesty (1 Thessalonians 4:18). Many times when I go to bed at night I think to myself that before I awaken Christ may come. Sometimes when I get up and look at the dawn I think that perhaps this is the day He will come. He has told us Christians to be watching constantly and to be ready, ‘for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect’ (Matthew 24:44, NKJV). Do you think Christ will come today? ‘Probably not,’ you say. It is on just such a day that He may come. What a glorious time of reunion it’s going to be, when we shall be caught up with Him!”

While We Are Waiting…
“If we believe that Christ could come at any time, though we do not know when, what should we be doing while we are waiting? Obviously we should not be idle. We should be ‘redeeming the time,’ (Ephesians 5:16, NKJV) making the most of our life and service and using our opportunities to witness to Christ. Now is the time to tell others about Jesus. Now is the time to pray for their salvation. Now is the time to be faithful stewards of our earthly possessions. The rapture is a wonderful doctrine. It is a movement of believers from Earth to heaven; the Second Coming is a movement of believers, angels and all the hosts of heaven, from heaven to Earth to begin Christ's Kingdom on Earth. It brings freedom from anxiety, as in John 14; and it is a comforting hope, as stated in 1 Thessalonians 4:18. Also, it is a purifying hope, as stated in 1 John 3:2-3: ‘Now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure’ (NKJV). We should be ‘looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ’” (John F. Walvoord).


Prayer
Lord, thank You for the promise of Your return to earth one day. We eagerly await the day when You will take Your people to be with You. Remind us to encourage one another with this hope as we serve You and await Your coming. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

This is a song that i've sort of clinged to some 5yrs back(during my birthday thanksgiving program) till this day........tried all i could to leave it and pick another one during the wake for my loved one, i juess could not but pick it as one of the specials.

Today has been awesome!

The word of God is true : God will have mercy upon whom He will have mercy.
There is nothing, absolutely nothing, that any one of us has done that has qualified us to be vessels in the hands of the Almighty God. Whosover God calls, he equips!
God has placed many gifts and talents in everyone of us and until you begin to use those gifts and talents for His glory, you would never know what God can do through you.

Sometimes, I take a step back and just marvel at what the Holy Spirit is doing... when the people of God open their hearts to worship God in the beauty of His holiness. The flow of anointing is almost palpable. In the place of Worship, anything is possible.

God knows your needs, that is why the Bible says that we should make our supplications with Thanksgiving. It is time to quit whining and carrying on like your case is the worst. What is it you are going through that you think you cannot overcome? Somebody, Somewhere has passed through it and come out victorious. You are passing through it , you will not remain in it.

Whether you feel like it or not,...worship!
God inhabits the praises of His people. He has created all things (including you) for His pleasure. Praise and worship gives God pleasure. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!

Thou art worthy, O Lord
To receive glory and honour and power

He who created u, created u in his own image, he knows the number of strands on ur scalp, he knows u by name. May that which will do u good never elude you. Stay strong, learn to compose songs of praises to him in ur heart. Learn to pray from your heart even as you read his promises for you in his word....Isaiah 43 verses 1&2. and so many others.

Ask God to renew his spirit within u....It shall continue to be well with u....just learn to obey and live by his precepts, we are all sinners, Jesus was made a sacrifice for the redemption of our sins. He did not say that there won't be hard times or challenges, but learn to turn every obstacle to a stepping stone, see them all as immunization....remember dat we are/were all saved by grace and it's his mercy that has kept us and will continue to guide and keep us all.

Be Thankful

Today's Scripture

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful” (Colossians 3:15 NIV).

As believers, we are a commanded to be thankful. I believe this is a natural result of allowing the peace of God to rule our hearts. Did you know that you can choose to have peace? You don’t have to let things upset you. You don’t have to be anxious and worried. That word peace means to set at one again. When you set your mind at one with God and His Word, you will have peace. God also leads us by peace. If you don’t have peace about a decision, wait and follow the direction of the peace in your heart. And when you have peace, you can’t help but be thankful! You will have a song in your heart and a spring in your step. Choose today to let the peace of Christ rule in your heart and have an attitude of gratitude toward the Lord. Even if you have things that are upsetting you, take a step of faith and begin to thank God for His goodness in your life. Thank Him for working behind the scenes on your behalf. As you do, you will walk forward into the life of blessing He has in store for you!

The bolded portion above tells me that you are handling this your situation very well. It is only your maker that needs to know what you are going through, He will bring the right person(s) your way whom He will use to bring you out of that situation.

Wearing your situation like a mask will only attract "miserable sympathy" from people. You know, some people specialize in feeling sorry for others in a way that will leave their victim worse than they met him/her. I urge you to be strong, be bold and remember that every problem has an expiration date. Hang in there because.... You are strong enough!
