Default A Day Without Africans

WHO OWNS THE WORLDS? MINE, YOURS OR OURS
Some one argued and affirmed that the African had nothing to give to the humanity. The world can dispensed off them without knowing that something had happened, only few tears and all is over.
I sparked and I remind the so-called legendary philosopher that the humanity exists today thanks to the Africans. Let’s wait and see were the new drivers are leading the world to.
The world is spherical not flat. We African dominated the world for millions of years, believe it or leave it.
The western take-over (Spanish to British to Portuguese to Germany to USA/ USSR to ? )and the discovery of weapon of mass production and destruction is marking a new record. I will wait and see the end of the story of these fabulous emeritus. All I know is that the world belongs to all. The arguments went hotter and we have to stop before the debate gets out of control.
Do you thing the humanity could/would exist without Africans and/or Africa?
May be you have the last say, air your view.

How far (was that right??) ?

I see your post was created in 2007. But just in case you are still around (or someone else might be joining in the discussion) ...

No one "owns" the world. Many cultures have attempted to be THE Landlord over all manner of land and ocean, and to date, none have been able to claim world domination.

Many cultures have suffered from someone else's successful colonization of their "property", but here is the beauty:

It is impossible to completely strip the richness and passion from Africans or any other group of people. The English and French attempted to strip Native Americans' of their culture, for example. They cut the Indians' hair and removed their mocassins; forced them to learn English and take up Christian ways. But still the Natives have preserved their rich culture to this day. As for Africans who were bound and forced onto American soil: That conversion failed too. Africans continued to sing beautiful African work songs in the US cotton fields and dared to dream dreams of freedom and success.

Today we can note how African beats and passion SATURATES the American cultural landscape. From American slang to all matter of American invention, the Black "man"'s "footprints" are plainly evident in the US.

Our many footprints are large and indelible. Our prints cannot be removed. And now the United States - arguably the most powerful, popular country in the world brags a political leader with part-African roots.

If it were possible to eliminate Africans and African influence in the US, the result would be a ghost of a nation; anemic and broken. Especially when you consider all the people who don't realize (or won't admit) they are African ... This is common amongst many people who call themselves Latino. Or some Sephardic Jews, or Southern Italians. Many Filipinos are African (their provincial people and their offspring). And so forth.
