Tony Okosun (Village Bouncer-In-Chief)

Please have this JJC, Papabaks, dobaale 70 times to Erelu Anike for inconveniencing her with a useless poll so early in the morning.
Afterwards, please arrest him for this highly-volatile, tribalistic introduction.

Make sure that he is interrogated properly, with no stone unturned.

At the appropriate time, he will be formally charged to the Customary Court arm of the Elders Council.

Thank you.

Just in case you did not notice, this is The Nigerian Village Square, not Ijebu village square.

Adjust your mindset, too.

How is my sister today?

BTW, I do not mind if
Papabaks prefers to
write in his dialect.
He is free to do so,
won't bother me one bit,
there are 5,000+ villagers.

What bothers me is this:
I do not think it is right
for a new villager to
direct their intro and
greetings to a specific
tribe or group.
I like my Country to
be one, we are all
Nigerians FIRST, as far as
I am concerned.
Lets not encourage any
divisions. Please
read Papabaks intro once
more then read my initial
reply, hope all's clear now.

Enjoy your weekend and

avoid Kingston Town Centre

after dark.

Hi, folks!

I am only wondering aloud: If a Briton, who happens to be Welsh, entered an international golf club, went into the bar, and introduced himself loudly, in conformity with the demands of Welsh etiquette, in provincial Welsh grammar and accent, would he be seen as being "tribalistic"?

I do not think so. I believe he would be laughed at as an eccentric provincial stand-up comic that has been let loose into the 21st century by mistake: a culprit of inordinate ethnic chauvinism.

I seriously wonder if indeed Omo Ijebu really did any harm at all. I do not see any serious and real harm he may have caused. I need to be convinced otherwise, politely.

Muchas gracias.

What the heck is the big deal about greeting all Ijebu folks? Ga-lly! Some people sha! As far as I'm concerned the very fact gan-gan that this is "Nigerian" Village Square gives Papabaks the full audacity and permission to address strictly Ijebusites if he so desires (does Ijebu not fall under Nigeria?). I have seen too many posts in the past that were so-conformed (to other ethnic tribes that is), and it certainly was no big deal to me, nor eh-hem (you know yourself), becos it sure is the first time I will see anyone make a stinker out of such! Men, some people should please go and drink some Gulder and eat suya or asun with it. It will certainly calm them down after. Na you sabi! I wo lo mo (in Ijebu dialect).

@VOR: In fact I have coined you the language specialist for the whole of NVS - Omo Ijebu re wa! Na wah oh, you jus dey flip am (like D'Banj) anyhow. I like you joh!

Hi, Ms Woman!

Thank you for stopping by the Twin Towers Complex. We are honored!

You know, you are so right...... Papabaks has the "full audacity and permission to address strictly Ijebusites, if he so desires". The only problem is that we are not all Ijebus and I think that it is only fair to Papabaks if the Ijebus (his primary audience) per:
All Ijebu citizens, here I am, I have arrived, How is it all, Hope You're all doing well in here?
respond to his greeting and formally welcome him to Nigeria....oops! Ijebu Village Square(IVS).
If it will not be too presumptuous on my part, I suggest that you become the Welcomer-In-Chief for this particular thread to ensure that nobody makes Papabaks uncomfortable in any way.

Thank you for your generous offer of Gulder and suya. The suya sounds good...do you have non-alcholic wine?

Yours truly,

Dimaanu

Dimaanu, true the way papabaks talk am persin go think na Ijebu web site, but papabaks no mean am like that. The persin wey dey complain was just being petty das all. But I still see your point sha oh!

As for Gulder and suya....abi na lie? In fact I am declaring for all the people wey don respond to this thread. Call the bar man, place your order and enjoy your life.

@papabaks: You sef no come hia as JJC come begin act like real JJC.....just because the computer una dey use dey for Ago Iwoye no mean say na only Ago Iwoye people dey inside the Internet for that Ijebu location in particular. If you wan do kparakpo with Ijebusites, go to Radio Abeokuta. Shim kan ti mo so ye e sha (you get wetin I dey talk?).

You will agree with me that there are some Non-Negotiables about the Intro-Section. It is not the section where u guys shld be seen flexing muscles about the Ijebu issue, my asking that the lesson continue elsewhere is a polite way of telling u and Vor that u are cramping our work here at the VTT.

The VTT..Intro section is a place where we welcome newbies to the square, not a place to play ping-pong or flex muscles(i.e, if u both have any to flex)about things that shldn't have degenerated like this.

ps..........I also hope and believe that as one of the old/seasoned members of this site, we shld not only be seen as people with Class and Finnesse......but as Ladies, it is rather out of character and not fashionable to engage in cat fights...etc etc ati bee bee lo.

You can both put an end to this foolishness now.....if u agree with me...thanks.
