Ejigbo Central Guest House, situated at Ojoola Street, behind Ejigbo bus stop, Lagos, where a senior staff of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mr. Lanre Akingbohungbe, died last weekend, during a sex session with his concubine, has been deserted.

A son of the owner of the hotel, who refused to disclose his names, confirmed to P.M.News this morning that the ugly incident has started affecting business, as people no longer patronise the hotel. He, however, refused to comment further, saying, “my father who is still abroad has warned me not to speak with the press on the issue.” When P.M.News called at St. Andrew’s (Anglican) Church, Adeniji-Adele Road, Okepopo, Lagos, yesterday evening, the church’s vicar said: “the lady was not a member of this church and I don’t know where you heard that the man was a committed member.” He was to take a sermon for a programme being held at that time and declined any further comments concerning the matter. P.M.News investigations revealed that the deceased, whose wife was said to have died years back, had been secretly buried in an undisclosed location in Lagos. However, a source in the church explained to P.M.News that everything concerning the late Akingbohungbe’s burial would be shrouded in secrecy because the manner of his death was not something to make noise about. “Even when his demise was announced on Sunday, it was not explicit. They just told the congregation that he had passed on,” the source stated. Akingbohungbe was described as a very jovial person who makes everybody happy wherever he was. Meanwhile, the lady at the centre of the death in the hotel room, Adebimpe Omogbehin, is still being interrogated at the Ejigbo police station.
