Default Nigerian VS American men

disclaimer: This was culled from someone's write up,not lateesha's opinions perhaps her experience but do you think it's true?

Nigerian Men: I realllly like them- they are soo sexy and I love their macho and manliness
American Men: They're cool- a little too soft at times, but less domineering.

Nigerian Men: VERY passionate and intense in their pursuit of a woman
American Men: Very casual about pursuing women and assumes few women are "good enough" for him.

Nigerian men: Are more likely to avoid loose trampy ignorant behaving women - wants sex- w/ women who can potentially make good wife material.
American men: Don't mind loose trampy ignorant women- he just wants sex anyway and not marriage.

Nigerian men: Are sexist. Has strict ideals about the role of a woman vs role of a man
American men: not sexist at all. Wants a woman to do all he can do and MORE!

Nigerian Men: will Allow wife to be a housewife.
American Men: think housewives are lazy freeloaders. But if the wife is White (Oyimbo) then its okay for HER to be housewife and raise their children.

Nigerian Men: don't keep six pack , muscles, or stay w/nice physique past 20's or once they are married.
American Men: more likely to keep six pack, muscles, well into 30's, 40's and after marriage.

Nigerian Men: see honor in having wife, and kids
American Men: have 3 kids, and never 1 wife. (according to statistics that 70% of Afr. Amer. children are born out of wedlock.)

Nigerian Men: Appreciate beauty in all colors, and shapes. Do not like thick/plus sized women too often.
American Men: Appreciates beauty in every color except VERY DARK skin, do not like skinny girls too often, is OBSESSED with big butts. A LOT of them favor plus-sized women.

Nigerian men: don't stay in shape past their 20's, or once they are married.
American Men: Are vain and more likely to put more effort into staying in shape and looking young well into 30's and 40's.

Nigerian Men: will cheat and expect wife to forgive and forget.
American men: will cheat and KNOW he will be cussed out from A-Z, AND suffer some type of bitter revenge from the wife.

Nigerian Men: are responsible AND STINGY with money. Wife has to EXPLAIN why she needs it.
American Men: are irresponsible with money, but more likely to share with his wife with little question.

Nigerian Men: Looove Sex and are well endowed.
American men: Looove Sex and are well endowed.

Nigerian Men:Know AIDS is real-so he is more likely to play safely
American men: believe AIDS is a scare tactic and is more likely to take chances with unsafe sex.

Arrow The Gains in being Open-Minded

+

This is a Nigeria man: A

This is another Nigerian man: a

And this, still, is another Nigerian man: AaA

The list goes on.

Same applies in the case of "American Men".

Point is, peoples come in all shapes and forms.

And even though some forms are more common with others,

It is ALWAYS safer not to assume this or that about this or that.

Hence why, for some of us, the mantra is this: Never Say Never.

Cuz you just never know. Oh you never know..

Auspicious.

Poor thing....a lot there is so not true that I don't even know where to start.

She needs to take off her Rose tinted specs, before she ends up wasting a good portion of her life, believing in an illusion of a American Man that does not exist.
Nigerian Men: I realllly like them- they are soo sexy and I love their macho and manliness
American Men: They're cool- a little too soft at times, but less domineering.
Iro...na lie...there is no cookie cutter man out there. There are both types in both American and Nigerian
Nigerian Men: VERY passionate and intense in their pursuit of a woman
American Men: Very casual about pursuing women and assumes few women are "good enough" for him.
Really...how did the word stalker enter the lexicon then? or Desperado for that matter....wrong again I say about this one
Nigerian men: Are more likely to avoid loose trampy ignorant behaving women - wants sex- w/ women who can potentially make good wife material.
American men: Don't mind loose trampy ignorant women- he just wants sex anyway and not marriage.
Men will get tail wherever they can find "IT", and once the "cost-to-benefit-ratio" is OK, whether his risk analysis is skewed due to copious amounts of Glenfiddich or not...dont mock 'yasef' that he is screwing you. ONLY because you are wife material...Yeah right

Nigerian men: Are sexist. Has strict ideals about the role of a woman vs role of a man
American men: not sexist at all. Wants a woman to do all he can do and MORE!
Are you talking of the same America, Where your so called broadminded men make policies, which mean that women are yet to get paid maternity benefits? Contraceptives are not covered by Health insurance, and you pay out of pocket for epidural, but Viagra is available and covered by Health insurance?

Nigerian Men: will Allow wife to be a housewife.
American Men: think housewives are lazy freeloaders. But if the wife is White (Oyimbo) then its okay for HER to be housewife and raise their children.

How many Nigerian women stay home to be House wives ahbeg....this chic needs a reality check...she has drunk too much oyibo rose` sotay im don colour her views...even not so educated women, will run a business of sorts.

Nigerian Men: don't keep six pack , muscles, or stay w/nice physique past 20's or once they are married.
American Men: more likely to keep six pack, muscles, well into 30's, 40's and after marriage.
Now you are taking the piss...really..common... what kind of nonsense is this....The people that gave the world super morbidly obese as a category of human size...are now purveyors of the finest 6pack....

Nigerian Men: see honor in having wife, and kids
American Men: have 3 kids, and never 1 wife. (according to statistics that 70% of Afr. Amer. children are born out of wedlock.)
Glad to see your rose specs are acquiring the tint of reality

Nigerian Men: Appreciate beauty in all colors, and shapes. Do not like thick/plus sized women too often.
American Men: Appreciates beauty in every color except VERY DARK skin, do not like skinny girls too often, is OBSESSED with big butts. A LOT of them favor plus-sized women.
Ehm sorry I think you mixed it up. It should be the other way round..our boys lovees them some flesh...haba ask Oluomo...the more generous the glutes the happier he is...and so does a host of other boys.
Nigerian men: don't stay in shape past their 20's, or once they are married.
American Men: Are vain and more likely to put more effort into staying in shape and looking young well into 30's and 40's.
Bollocks....
..see my take on how we got to have super morbidly Obese as a sizeNigerian Men: will cheat and expect wife to forgive and forget.
American men: will cheat and KNOW he will be cussed out from A-Z, AND suffer some type of bitter revenge from the wife.
Oh really....Like Mrs Clinton, Mrs Elliot Spitzer, Mrs Edwards all did eh?

Nigerian Men: are responsible AND STINGY with money. Wife has to EXPLAIN why she needs it.
American Men: are irresponsible with money, but more likely to share with his wife with little question.
This is a lie from the pits of hell....A Nigerian man behaves as if he has never heard the word "going dutch" talk of actually going dutch. A nigerian man will give you the shirt off his back to prove to you he is a provider, along the lines of his father and those before him....He believes in taking care of business, and will stop at nothing to take care of business

Nigerian Men: Looove Sex and are well endowed.
American men: Looove Sex and are well endowed. If you say so

Nigerian Men:Know AIDS is real-so he is more likely to play safely
American men: believe AIDS is a scare tactic and is more likely to take chances with unsafe sex.
I don't know about this one If you say so again

Iro...na lie...there is no cookie cutter man out there. There are both types in both American and Nigerian
That's the bottomline. And plenty of American men are extremely sexist and overbearing...that I know.

@ topic,
On a recent visit to Cape Town for FIGO conference, we went out with the boys to have a feel of LANG street before the world soccer fiesta, we got talking with some of our hosts and they had a cavaet among the south Africans, never allow a nigerian sleep with your woman, she would never be the same again

Sorry....I have never dated an African America/oyinbo/indian/asian or whatever kind of man God created and do not care to know the differences. Too culturally conditioned to 'mess' with foreign tribes/races. I don't think I could manage without marrying a dude from the EDO-DELTA axis. Shagging or testing purposes ok for the other parts of Nigeria.

So I can't tell the difference and do not care to know. Not even curious. There are no shortages of hunks around me from the EDO/DELTA states of Nigeria for me to feast ma eyes on.....especially the "Igbo" ones.

African American dudes? Please, see you at work or in the clubs only. I ain't taking you home, we gatz nothing to offer each other really. I am not that adventurous and I know where to look for 'long' term grooves. Yeah, my love ain't blind at all at all.

Let us just say I know my onions from my potatos and I don't do 'global' relationships including "One Nigeria" ones on the long run. I also know what rocks ma world and floats ma boat.

The key to ma successes....no failures.

To whom it may concern please. Enjoy the adventure abi na experiment.

Similarly, on a recent visit to Nairobi, I also got talking with a couple of the local staff in the hotel. They all unanimously agreed that their women always fell for Nigerian men rather effortlessly. This even precipitates 'beef' with Nigerians on occasion in many places.

Oh no! No "afin" or "yellowman" syndrome.....I find their "joysticks" like bananas......not cool at all. Give a nice 'blaaaaaaaaaack', huge one....with plenty of veins....

he he he

Una happy Sunday O!

I cannot imagine you Lati with akwa ibom man not to mention a warri dude.

Oh no! The only people wey dey experiment na people wey get identity crisis.

How can I leave all those handsome dudes in my mama and papa village and go and be hunting for one in America? Impossible.

I beg O! I get problem with Nigerian dudes well well.....but there are some things I just can't compromise in the Edo-Delta dudes especially......the 'agberoism' which I find extremely sexxxxxxy.

All these men wey dey blow big big oyinbo.....I nor get their time. Just give me a Nigerian man who knows how to do the 'nasties' in the bedroom in my favorite languages......dirrrrrrrrrrrrry talk.

For example an American dude...black or white cannot tell me things I need to hear in the bedroom.....like I am used to. I know that American guys have their own 'ghetto' lingo O....but it just does not sound sweeeeeeeet to my ears.

For example: When me and my honey are in the bedroom and he gets carried away...he often asks God......from time to time.

"Chei.....na toto be this? With blood-shot eyes.......as he explores the area....he he he He often acts like he has never seen one before.

And I will reply...."no mumu....na ishi-ewu"......

Happy Sunday O!

Moreover I heard they are uncircumcised.
What will lateesha be doing with an uncircumcized Philistine?
Crazy girl dewy
one time I ask my bobo for life make im begin speak Igbo in the bedroom
It was not sexy at all
nasty love talk loses it's appeal when spoken in "vernacular" abeg
maybe it was his Igbotic Mbaise dialect
The thing turned me off jor
How's your Sunday going ma dear

You dis ghel....e be like say you go sweet well well for bed O! These are educated people O! With correct professions......You go just smile now....come reply....

"You wan taste? I sweeeeeeeeet pass sugar and honey sef".....

Why do you think I turned out the way I did? It is the genes....ha ha ha......and loving it!

I know you ke? Anything wey pass that Abia state....no deal.

Twa! Death to uncircumcised penises......no wayyyyy! Who wants to drag all that 'curtain' of foreskin to get the job don? Ugly hotdogs! Twa....be like millipedes! You can't see the head or the tail of the bloody things!

My sister I don't blame you. When Naija decide to scatter at this rate....me no wan take any means by air, ship, train, bus, or leg reach house say I wan marry wan crayfish man from one state wey no get head. I go stay for my bed with all my children amd grand-children....if we ever leave this white man's land O!

Shioooooooooooor! Make we dey romance for h-internet abegiooooooo.

You are here talking....na me see those Kenn/dem dudes close range.....wait till you encounter those london dudes, you go understand why girls dey go dia from Nairaland go carry belle free of charge. As you can see...one don bite me.

American man ko...English man ni!

I say there are just some things I can't compromise....like when I went to "New Bini" market those days...I think I was like 20 years old or so, in the university and weighed only like 110 pounds(with some serious chest attractions....not now wey all these Nigerian dudes plus pickins dem don squeeze da hell out of the things...take them do pillows/sleep toys...)....yeah...very aneroxic.....in that poverty-stricken enviroment. Nothing I could eat could give me any kind of fatty deposits unlike now. The trekkking all around campus alone could turn any Nigerian into a Kenyan.

One very stupid bini boy was checking me out and did not know how to express himself....before I said "ha" the dude just reach out and grabbed my left breast....pinch the thing just run comot begin dey shout:

I don touch heaven......
I don touch heaven......

I thought it was a ritualist at first.....then after noticing that the breast was still there...I pursued the guy.....and shouted at the top of my voice.....

Ogun a gberrrrrrrrrrrra!!!!! Ogun a gbi iyuwwwwe!!!!!(Na Ogun go kill both your mama and your papa)......Removed my slippers.....ready for market fight.....

I screamed: "Na your mama heaven you touch......"

Shuuuuuuuuuuuuooooooooooo? I was incensed. Some people come gather for market dey beg me. The dude don run tay tay....

Looking back now, I just laugh....where I go get that kain 'agbero' love for inside this America huh?

He he he.....I have come to appreciate such gestures....call me sick.

Na im make I marry quick quick O! Too many agberos to choose from I swear, so we had like 20 years to polish each other to specifications.....the ones way dey find "smooth operators" still dey for temple dey look for spouses....he he he

Or go marry some foreign creatures...I nor fit abeg!

Goodnight my darling.....make I go sleep abeg.

An acquaintance once told me that the women he dates find sexism sexy. Does anyone here on our distinguished panel of ladies (lateesha, rose, liloldlady, babine, mrschoct) agree? I thought he was crazy, but since he sleeps with lots of women, I need someone else's take on this.

I find it a surefire turnoff. When I'm in the company of a stompdown sexist, I always find a way to lose them...like yesterday. But you're right some women do find it kinda sexy. I knew an Italian lady who liked to hang out after work. She once told me she wanted her husband to barge in and snatch her out by her hair. What's interesting is years prior to our meeting he hurled her down a flight of stairs...breaking a number of bones according to her.

That's abuse, not sexism.

Sexism is more like "you're a typical woman - you like to shop for shoes on daddy's dime, don't you?" Or "You score 5/10 as a good woman - you can't cook so you lose 5 points."

I guess obnoxiousness and sexist go hand in hand, but I can put up with some light ribbing.

What about this classic? "Dinner is on me, and the rest of the night is on you." Not particularly sexist, but you know...
