Default Rotimi Amaechi on Peter Odili's betrayal

Rotimi Amaechi on Peter Odili's betrayal

The Sun News On-line

His account of how events following his substitution unfolded as contained in The Sun Newspaper link highlighted above, is truthful to a large extent ... however, i think there was a little exaggeration, possible sympathy seeking in saying that himself and his family suffered any hardship. Judging by his wife's increased size upon arrival, it is evident that they were well fed, and I am reliable information that his family were in the United States with a close associate of his, and not in England.

But all that does not take away the fact that he did not contest the election, and therefore has been imposed on Rivers State by the judgement od the Supreme Court.

Today I learnt that the AC in Rivers State has joined its gubernatorial candidate, Tonye Princewill to say they have withdrawn their suit from the tribunal, dissociating themselves from Atiku Abubakar and his statement that he never endorsed such withdrawal.

Money is to Rivers State, what crude oil is to the Niger Delta ... more of a curse than a blessing.

May God help Nigeria ... May God help Rivers State

Thanks for the link, Interesting story.

I agree with you, I think he was exaggerating here. He was getting money from some quarters. He wasn't destitute for sure!

The part that made me laugh the most was when he said that the assembly men were loyal to him, and donated money to prosecute the court matter because of how well he lead them ...

Somebody that was in London three quarters of the second tenure pursuing his law degree. How well did he lead? ... He lead them very well to approve every expenditure the Governor presented before the house, including the gas turbine proect and purchase of 2 jets ...and made sure that he was able to squeeze out 300 million Naira for every assembly man, even those who were not among the 18 that were "loyal" as their severance package.

He indeed lead them very very well.
