Think about it. If Bashier gives himself up, he stands a good chance of a fair trial. Eventually, he would spend the rest of his natural life in a European prison... *(a hotel actually) where all his rights and dignities are observed. Nutritious food, free medical attention, cable TV, Al-Jazeera, a well equipped Gym, Internet facilities....He can appeal the case and make it last a millenium until the legal system is exhausted.

That will never be the case if he ever falls into the hands of a rival machette-wielding Sudanese clan. I once watched the video of how Samuel Doe was hacked into pieces and I still find it disturbing; almost very similar to Vierra's fate in the hands of his military.
