Soludo's dad released by the kidnappers
"To God be the glory, my father has just been released by the kidnappers. We are emboldened by this experience to dedicate our life to the service of our fatherland and to find lasting solution to the problem of kidnapping.
Those who sought to break our will must be told that the wind of change in Anambra is unstoppable. Please join us in thanking God." -Soludo Source
Lucky old man. He will prolly spend the rest of his days in Dubai or USA, where sensible people run National affairs.

The news, according to journalims professors remains incomplete if we dont get how much was paid as ransom and the old geezer s views about his experiences plus his take on his son s troublesome ambition. papa oyoyo, take off for america, pronto!and remember your winter coat o,osiso ,before the kidnappers change their warped minds. |

Its really pathetic that when things happen to us, rather than look inwards to what we may be doing/done wrong….its always the enemy trying to derail our good intentions….

I was always bothered about this quote by Chris Uba Said he: "Soludo started a rumour last night that they kidnapped his father, but to my greatest surprise, some journalists told me this afternoon that the Commissioner of Police in Awka said Soludo is accusing me as the person who kidnapped his father.
"Please I want Nigerians to judge between me and Soludo who between us is a criminal in this country."
Continuing, the controversial politician said: "Soludo knows where he hid his father and if he is ready, let him go and bring him out. Source

Don't you find the reckless boasting nauseating?
Gosh, I find it both nauseating and revolting!
If there's any proof of ones personal insecurities,
Uba, as you quoted him above, displays it.

Hmmm...wat's the source of this man's wealth? What's his interest in the guber runs?

| Re: Breaking News!!! Soludos dad released. Update!!!! Source Police arrest suspects in Soludo’s dad’s kidnap
By Nwanosike Onu Published Today News Unrated
Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo, the 78-year old father of former Central Bank Governor Chukwuma Soludo, has been released by his abductors. Pa Soludo was let off at about 10.30pm on Wednesday, but the family has barred him from relieving his ordeal.
One of Pa Soludo’s sons, Pastor Ogochukwu Soludo, told reporters yesterday that the allegation that the family hid the old man and declared that he was kidnapped was false.
The police said yesterday that some suspects had been arrested over the kidnap, which heightened the tension in the state that Soludo plans to rule. He is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in next year’s election.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Oshodi Glover, who visited the Soludo family yesterday in company of Chris Ezike, an Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Inspector General of Police Ogbonna Onovo’s monitoring team, said he was not aware that any ransom was paid.
An unconfirmed report said about N100million was paid to the kidnappers.
Another, also unconfirmed, said only N20million was paid. The cash was allegedly dropped at Oko in Orumba North Local Government Area. Pa Soludo was dropped at Uga in Aguata Local Government Area that night, it was learnt.
Glover said the police were still working on the matter, adding: "Please, don’t let me reveal anything yet; there will be time for that and not now."
Sources said five suspects had been arrested over Pa Soludo’s kidnap. One ran away, it was learnt.
As early as 8am yesterday, reporters had gathered at the country home of the Soludos in Isuanioma, a suburb of Isuofia in Aguata Local Government Area to catch a glimpse of the latest victim of a booming crime.
Earlier, some of the security men posted to the house had relived Pa Soludo’s arrival – after a nine-day ordeal. They said at about 10.15am, a black 406 Peugeot saloon car with registration number AZ 182.RSH drove inside the compound, carrying two other persons, including the driver.
Suddenly, an old man wearing a white lace with a red cap and black sandals alighted from the back of the car. He held a walking stick. "Behold, it was Pa Soludo," the sources said.
Reporters were barred from taking Pa Soludo’s photograph.
"The man is still in shock," they were told.
One of Pa Soludo’s sons, Ogochukwu, said he would take their father away for medical check-up which he described as the most paramount at that particular time.
Said the young Soludo: "We are happy and still sober. We thank God for everything, but first of all, my mission now is to take him for medical check-up and we will not allow him to utter a word to anybody because he is still in shock."
"His health condition is the most important thing to us but all the same, we are happy and grateful to God," Ogochukwu said.
On the N100million and N20million ransom said to have been paid by the family, Ogochukwu said he was not in any position to discuss such an issue, adding that nobody told him that any ransom was paid.
Did the family actually take Pa Soludo away from public glare, Ogochukwu was asked. He replied: "Only God will punish whoever did kidnap our father."
"We are not a family of gangsters, but a family of polished people. Anambra people know gangster families and I don’t think the Soludo family is among such families in Anambra but, according to the Bible, we give God thanks in everything," Ogochukwu said.

| Re: Breaking News!!! Soludos dad released. For Prof Soludo to have ventured into politics specifically as played in Anambra as its their tradition there, leaves little or nothing to be desired. Sometimes I ask who in the whole world advised him into making such a choice?
In a state where we have the likes of Uba and co should have been enough to scare any sane human being away no matter the good motive to assist in salvaging his people.
Kidnapping his father is one of the least things they can do, the next thing will be to kidnap either his wife or children no ,matter which oyinbo country his has taken them to with the feeling they are safe.
I weep for what is going on in that state. A state so blessed with lots of human resource but lacking in getting its house in order.

| Re: Breaking News!!! Soludos dad released. I rejoice with the Soludo family on the release of this elderly man. He is lucky becos many others were killed even after the ransom had been paid. As the scourge of kidnappings spread across the land, leaders of thought and the government remain impotent to stop it.
