Definitely, we had not heard of the last of the "Mohicans".

| Re: Men With Locs- Do You Find Them Attractive? Guys would you have locs especially if you're a high flyer professional?
The corollary to this question of locs and the potential attraction it may hold for women, is this: as a locs-wearing man, try interviewing for a corporate job and see if they'll take you, regardless of how smart or experienced you may be.
I usually associate locs-wearing men with those involved in blue-collar jobs, and/or creative endeavors, like modelling, acting, music, computer geeks, art, writers, etc. Such career fields are usually more open and tolerant of individuals' idiosyncracies when it comes to physical appearance.
Otherwise, forget it.

Heck no.
OMG!! fancy having to jostle for the hair dryer with my man....I am not that civilised, I beg. I am still a simple, African, village woman. spare me the sofisticated ways.
It reminds me of when men used to do Jherri curls too.
somebody pass me the emetic bag please.

DW:
True. Same is also true for women with weaves/braids/cornrows etc as most corporate employers perceives it as being too "ethnic".

| Re: Men With Locs- Do You Find Them Attractive? Rosie darling,
I have to say you make my day with these crazy photographs of yours...keep 'em coming!
Back to the question, 'Dada or dreadlocks'? I love dreads when they are nicely done and look good on the wearer. I prefer medium length ones to short or really long on men, women and kids. I was struggling with my luggage once at the airport and had this really cute guy in dreads offer to help me...I have to say seeing his dreads made me consider having mine done. However, given the nature of my job, I guess wearing dreads'll have to be in another life or when I'm fed up with the job.

Auspi, i did write "corporate job", didn't I? By virtue of the nature of the job/career, a medical doctor works for himself as much as he works for the medical company that may be employing him. Ditto for lawyers. That's the big difference. You need to see the appearance of some lawyers here in California; some of them (men) actually wear pony-tails. Some wear the sort of beards that would have never seen the light of day in a typical corporate setting. Virtually all of them work for themselves.
If you have the talent and resources to set up your own shop, of course, you can even dye your hair pink sef. It wont matter as long as your patients/clients have faith and confidence in your professional abilities.

| Re: Men With Locs- Do You Find Them Attractive? Having worn dreads myself on and off over the years, I think dreads are great. Generally, I like brodas with dreads but I don't have a personal preference for them over other men. It is just a nice different look. I don't have any particular liking for any length - it depends on the overall personality and general aura of the guy. I agree Feyi, Charles Otudor looks good with his medium length dreads - saw a picture of him in MADE magazine. I like Eric Benet's long dreads. I also like the look of the guy in Valteena's first picture.
