| Let's Get Tipsy.....Drinks For Love...
Let us talk wine....and drinks.
Do you often feel 'bush' when a guy takes you out and you are asked what to drink....and all you can come up with is "fanta or coke"?
May God deliver you if that is all you can say as a female.
I did not say get drunk like a skunk....I said socialize/blend with the crowd without sounding or looking like "Frauline Maria"....
He he he.....here is some help......
I am only a social drinker.....and have just the right thing to make me relaxxxxx.
For sleep......wine coolers are nice...on the rocks.
For some loving after clubbing......Long Island Tea is my favorite.....extremely numbing effect for the right reasons......you can handle things like a 'woman'....no matter what plans the guy/s has/have for you....you are relaxed enough to keep one eye open at all times.....
Guys...are you still stuck on "downing" Heineken or Guiness with your bowls of fufu?
Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay....wetin else una like to drink besides "pammy"......When you go on dates, what kinds of drinks do you like your ladies to have.....besides fanta and coke....What do you guys like to drink....besides the usual rubbish......
Show your social sides...let us see how 'exposed' you are.
I will go first... |

| Re: Let's Get Tipsy.....Drinks For Love... Hmmm, for moi what you drink is generally dependent on the type of food or social environment you find yourself in.
When eating out (dates/family) : Red meat (beef) dishes or creamy sauces or spicy foods goes with dry red wines of the Merlot, Shiraz or Cabernet sauvignon types. With White meat types such as chicken or bland foods such as salads, then try some white wine - the pinot grigios of these world are generally fine. Obviously this also depends on where you are eating out say for example if we were to go carribean and I love my Carribean food and I will always get some cocktails to go with them.
When out with my guys: Strictly Remy with ice and coke or redbull. If na beers, then a small or two of small stout will do me.
When I dey village: I love my palmy - again in small doses. Small guiness also comes into play if I don't feel like palmy.

| Re: Let's Get Tipsy.....Drinks For Love... Ok I catch your drift maybe I should have expanded my "vocab" just that little bit more and directed my question at 9ja females who are "non-teetotallers".
On the other hand Iye, you should give Merlot a try - it's a nice way to kick start a good habit!

| Re: Let's Get Tipsy.....Drinks For Love... I agree with Iye, you don't have to drink any alchohol to please any one or claim exposure. Exposure to what???
As for me I can not do without my Cristal Champagne. I always prayed to God when pregnant, to please, please forbid such cravings at those times in Jesus name, until after delivery.
My ex always talk about how I only requested for a drink after opening my eyes post surgery, ignoring every thng else, even all the beautiful flowers in the room.
For bed time, I love my vodka lemon with lots of ice in it. I always really need good sleep, and also a good tickle for bed time with "Oga". I guess he tries to makes up as much as possible for the unavoidable long distance relationship. I need something to keep up.
I don't blame the poor man.

So I agree with you, never ever do! lol!

I like the same types of wines you picked, but Amarone remains my all time favorite followed by a Valpolicella. Also enjoy a nice gin/tonic, champagne or Kalua/milk etc from time to time.

| Re: Let's Get Tipsy.....Drinks For Love... Yep, I hear you Rose I can imagine why you would like Amarone given it's similarity to the few that I mentioned above provided it's taken with the right food. Gin and tonic is classic and immortal but not necessarily my cup of tea, I don't know why but I have always associated it with the older folks so I never truly cultivated it - it's reminds me of secondary/uni days when my oldman and woman used to drink Campari and Soda. Count1, please forgive me .
As per champers, not really a great fan as such but again depends on the occasion, gives you a nice buzz when taken in moderation. Kalua - never tried that one before o!
