A work colleague returned from holidaying in LA. His landing gifts to the office included Uncle Buck's Buffalo Jerky and Beef Jerky Premium. Wow, I chop di t'ing I lick mouth. Just be laik suya, nor be small.

Anybody wey wan cross da big Atlantic wata to come see me musta bring dis Jerky to knock my door O... ..

I think beef jerky is more like American Kilishi...rather than suya.

A guy in my city makes it fresh and hawks them on the roadside every weekend (naija style). If you like the pre-packaged ones, you should taste it fresh (much better)

He makes it in about 10 variations of spicyness from "mild" to "habanero", and even offers turkey for the non-beef eaters.
