This is a must have book! I had the privilege getting real close to Sir Egbert at one of his last few public appearances. It was the launching of his book on Constitutional Law ( Did I miss mention of this in the article?) Sir(Dr) Majekodunmi the famous interim Governor of Western Region (and classmate of Sir Egbert in Dublin) presided and told us a lot about their life in Dublin in those days. Sir Egbert's greatness and achievements remain unparalleled in legal and constitutional spheres. Other great Nigerian Lawyers who tread that golden path from legislature to judiciary and excelled include Hon Justice J. O. Ogunbiyi - House of Rep - Ilesa North) and Hon Justice Abiru - Senator for Ikorodu Lagos 1979-83.

The Military (and of course the people of Nigeria) had such great confidence in the leadership qualities and academic brilliance of Sir Egbert that it was no surprise that he steered the CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY 1978 to produce the best Constitution ever - 1979 Nigerian Constitution. Most importantly, he flawlessly managed the Sharia Controversy at the Assembly. Both Sharia advocates and Christians at the Assemblywere at each others throat and a religiouswarwas iminent.

I could go on and on. But my only regret: I did not wait to take a picture with Sir Egbert and Dr Majekodunmi at that Book Launch. Kudos to Udoma kids for this gift to the nation!
