Sorry Ruben, one term limit is not the real issue betraying our presidential system of government. The problem is the constitution we have adopted from the Military government since 1998.
Nigeria need to adopt a regional type of power sharing with the center, where the six geographical zones can form power blocks. The center is too powerful and too corrupt with our currently system.
Why can't we get together and negotiate a home grown Regional system of democracy?
Nigerian 36 states are too bloated and expensive to control and administer, and have become bleeding wounds or cancer.
None of the states have enough financial muscle to engage in capital intense infrastructural project.
This divide and rule creation of the Northern Military Mafia, have held Nigeria hostage to concrete path to sustainable development and stable accountable governance.
Nigeria need to debate a region alternative power model to an exhaustible conclusion. The time is now and cannot be delayed any longer.
