| Re: 2011: The End Of Governance? The end of Governance makes a good reading. The author perception is a vivid discription of events in Nigeria today. In all candour I share most of the writter's passion and disdain as expressed. Where I differ is that the author never for once propossed a way out of the quagmire for us.To say that we Nigerians are suffering will be understating the facts. The question then is how long can we continue to allow ourselves to be basterdised by our so called elected leadres? The answer to me remains in our collective ability to stand up for our rights as enshrined in our imperfect constitution.People like Dr Abati should make their views known via known mediums in Nigeria other than the internet. They should go out and propagate their discontent and probable solutions, knowing fully well that they have the will of the people behind them.
I have heard people talked about who will lead the revolt. My proposal is that the Nigeria Labour congress should be alerted that it's responsibilities goes beyond the protection of the right of the workers, and it can play the role of the opposition and if need be, call we the people out for support. Belive me Nigerians are willing to come out and speak for our rights provided the Labour Congress and allied Civil Liberty Organisation are willing to call us to duty.
We are suffering, any clarion call will do. This lot in Government haven't the slightest idea how to govern. They are obsessed with power for the sake of money. |
