| Re: A Democracy Of Tears We are not backward. We only have attitude problem.
As the European union election is coming up on the 4th of June- just next week. Gordon Brown, the British Prime Minister, took time to write letters to the electorate reminding them of New Labour's achievement and promises. This morning, as I was just reading your piece and that of Levi, mine arrived. Just read a snippet of it:
"Dear......,
I know that people are angry about MPs' expenses. I apologise - on behalf of all parties - that the political system has let you and the public down.
Whatever party they belong to, MPs should never have spent taxpayers' money on clearing their moats or swimming pools, or paying phantom mortgages - and it's even worse at a time when ordinary families are worried about the impact of the recession..............."
Tell me in all decency if a govt recognises your worth as a human being and is apologetic of errors made and promises a change for the better, why won't one be committed to such a party and its govt? Our people are not backward, we have attitude problems. Seriously.
