A brilliant reminder of the many treasures Nigeria has but never utilises.

Awolowo's ideas remain relevant; they rise far above our tribal politics and his ideas on the organisation of society should have been adapted to the entire country. But it is not only the present leaders that are bereft of this knowledge; our entire educational system cannot lay claim to the preservation and nuturing of the philosophies and ideologies of our founding fathers. Oh no...we want to go to Harvard to learn about ourselves. Disgraceful.

So what did Awo and his contemporaries then achieve? I cannot bear to answer that question.
