Default Re: C.C. Soludo – A Glance Through The Rear-view

Soludo took many bold and timely decisions and should be applauded for that. Criticisms on AFC and re-denomination are mostly childish with ulterior motives.

However, Soludo turned out to be all too human, all too Nigerian. His managerial deficits were quite glaring (how do you go on air to announce the re-denomination of the national currency without informing your deputy governors or obtaining presidential approval?) and his Hollywood stardom did not help.

If Soludo had maintained his integrity and managed his bias, His impact would have extended beyond his work at the central bank. Choosing to serve the interest of powerful forces in the banking sector took the shine off. We have an intelligent professor but without ethics, He will never be a role model for my children. I will choose Ngozi any day.
