Re: Oath-taking In Nigerian Politics
Well done Reuben, you have redeemed yourself in my books with this light - hearted piece. A change from that last article you penned. Anyways, what can i say about this ritual thing that i haven't said anywhere else?
Come to think of it, it cannot be only in Ogun State that we have blood oath taking politicians you know.

The strangest thing thoughis that, isn't anyone who betrays an oath suppose to suffer serious consequenses? Why have the principal participants not been struck down yet by the powerful forces of this oath? I think the thing is of dubious efficacy, otherwise, things should have started to happen by now. That would have been good riddance to bad rubbish. Let's wait and see though, things might yet happen.
