Ghana 0- 0 Brazil, HT. I joined the match very late but noticed Ghana was in control of the game. Then a Ghanaian player decided to be plain stupid. After refusing to play a simple pass to his team mate in order to free himself from the pressure on him, he did even the more ridiculous thing by taking the ball into a tighter corner, where he didn't have any support whatsoever. Realizing he was in a dead end, he went completely mad and simply gave a Brazilian a pass, rather than put the ball out for a throw-in. The result of his pure madness is that he put his defence under pressure, after dragging them out with his nonsense play. In a haste to correct the mistake of his stupid team mate, a defender quickly brought a rampaging Brazilian down. Second mistake because there was no way the Brazilian was going to score, except by a moment of shear brilliance, or another madness from the rest of the defense line. Then the referee decided to act to the whole nonsense by showing a RED card to the Ghanaian player, when it could clearly be seen that he wasn't the last man. So Ghana are one man down. I hope they pull this one through, but that it's gonna be mighty difficult.

Playing against Brazil with a ful complement of players is hard enough, how much more playing with one man short. I hope Ghana survives anyhow. (Even though i am rooting for Brazil in my inner heart)

That Brazillian coach must be shot. The coach is simply not good at all. In fact he is inadequate.

He was the first coach to lose a world cup final at U20 to an African. In fact a lowly African Nation like Ghana.

He was so technically deficient that he could not defeat a 10 man Ghana - What a shame!!

To cap it all he was so utterly disgusting, he selected players that shot penalties over the bar!! How on earth can a coach be so daft?

I recommend that the Ghana U20 coach be recruited to handle the Senior National team of Brazil. He is the most technical coach in the world today. We cannot afford to have Brazil humiliated by lowly African Nations like this again.

I think Brazil needs a foreign coach from Africa.

The mere fact that you did not see any difference in tactic between the Ghanian team and what Nigeria plays is what is worrying. The race of a coach is not important, what is important is what he brings in a team and in that area, Amoudu and Sia Sia failed.

Now, talking tactics, pray, what tactics did Ghana use that made them win the game other than playing negative football. They nearly paid for it too if not for mother luck that smiled on them on occasions when Brazil should have wrapped up the game.

That was what Ghana had and Nigeria lacked - MOTHER LUCK

Jeez! Mikky Jaga you see why I say you are clueless. Do you not play to your strenghts? That is football 101.

Now, you are coming home, at last!! The other teams, Nigeria played, knowing Nigeria was more superior, played negative football against us, hence the draw against Mozambique and the other lowly teams. Happily, and unlike Brazil, Amodu managed not to lose to any of them so far. Give credit where it is due.

Wow!! It's certainly gone hot in here since the last time i visited. Mikky, Mikky, what's up dude? C'mon football is a beautiful game man, we shouldn't be intolerant of each other. Youu've got your points, just like everyone else. Let's not ruin this thread with name calling, okay?

So Ghana U 20 won the world cup, beating mighty Brazil. That wouldn't be the first time Ghana will beat Brazil at a world Cup, albeit at under age group. So i can't see how it is something out of the world. They have done great by winning, and on African soil for that matter. Let's hope an African team can do AFrica Proud again and win the 2010 World Cup in Souht Africa.

BTW don't forget folks that the U -17 World Cup starts in Africa (Nigeria) in 7 days. Let's see how our golden Eaglets will perform. Perhaps they will prove a better option to the lacklustre Flying Eagles.

Permit me to ask..
are you by any means ashamed of being an african?
and what has "lowly african nation"got to do with winning?

and where are the "highly african nations"?
am really stumped!!!

Heart thief, how far? Long time no jam! Since your intro days, I have not come across you. Glad to know you are still very active and kicking on NVS. BTW how many hearts have you succeeded in thiefing here? Wishing you more grease to your elbows.

What I wrote above that you referred to was a guided missile. The missile has since landed at the backyard of those it was meant to hit.

Cheers.

Default FIFA U - 17 World Cup Nigeria 2009

Nigeria hosts the world from tomorrow in yet another under age world cup. this is coming on the back of the recent U 20 World Cup held in Egypt. Nigeria's golden Eaglets will open the defence of their Cup tomorrow against Germany, and hopefully they will be up to the task of avenging the defeat meted out to our U 20 eagles in the U 20 cadre in Egypt. Good luck to our boys tomorrow.

Thanks for the reminder. I don't know how many Nigerians remember that such global event is taking place in their country.

The recent reversals suffered by our teams have made Nigerians believe nothing good can come out of that country.

I wish the golden eaglets success or, more appropriately, those that survive the MRI test of FIFA.
