| Scientists are growing customized breast implants from stem cells.
Scientists are growing customized breast implants from stem cells. Recipe: Extract stem cells from your fat, mix them with regular fat cells, grow them into fatty tissue, and inject it into your breasts. It's been tried on nearly 40 women so far with no serious ill effects. Rationales: 1) These implants are natural; they're really yours. 2) They won't leak, as old silicone implants do. 3) They won't shrink if we can grow them with built-in blood vessels, thanks to the stem cells. Caveats: 1) We don't know yet how they'll hold up over the long term. 2) So far, we can only grow them to half the size of a synthetic implant. (For previous updates on breast implants, click here and here.)

The Don!
That, I think is already happening. I read a story in a news magazine sometime ago about a procedure known as Viginoplasty. There is also another one called Labiaplasty

Hi, Soul Sista!
Thanks for placing my remarks within context. Hi, Beambola!
Thanks, once more, for the unsolicited snide remarks, misdirected aggression and insults you visited on my person. I like it, seeing that I am a seasoned egoless masochist.
My joy is that YOU are WRONG, and that is what always happens to those who leap before they think.
For your enlightenment and general information, no one goes about the Village under the intoxicating notion of being a so-called "Elder" (in cyberspace of all places!). You will know when your time comes too, to be stigmatized as an "Elder".
Obrigado. Don Juan-Carlos ABRAXAS (III) |

Beambolla, now that I know that you were referring to me, I think you need to take Don's advice.
Because you are my friend, and today is a new day in our country, i will forgive (as usual!). But please do not insult me anymore.
My original post on this thread was a direct response to Abraxas' post and i clearly highlighted the portion I was commenting on. I'm sure you realise that is not the first time I would do that and I'm certainly entitled to my opinion. Even if you find my comments distasteful, you do not have to insult me. The least you can do is to "waka pass".
Apart from making a comment, I provided a link to websites which talked about certain developments in the field of science, regardless of the use to which it was being put. Some other people might find it educative and informative. For all you know, some people might even want to try out the procedures so described.
May I implore you to please tone down the I.G.G. I have no war to fight with anyone on this board and I certainly do not wish to be dragged into any.
Best Regards.

Uncle T i refuse to get into any petty disagrement over what i said ,read it again and then point out where i insulted you the words you used were distasteful that is my opinion as you have yours i have mine and we have gone down this alley before Uncle t i will waka pass when i feel like, i did not insult you if you read the end of my response to Abraxas i said i want this thread to stay on track i really do . May I implore you to please tone down the I.G.G. I have no war to fight with anyone on this board and I certainly do not wish to be dragged into any.
as you have rightly said you have no war to fight neither do i, i will have my views you will have yours that does not mean i am insulting you or draggin you down i will stand my own and will not back down i did think those words were tasteless they are my views i am not used to words like that being used that carelessly and i will not apologise for being like that i do think the thread could of gone on without those jibes but Uncle T they are my views you are allowed ures.
if you are offended well i cannot apologise to you because i was offended by those jibes on the other hand since i was not talkING to the other person i did and he seems offended by the word elder as MY friend you just have to bare it and as my ijesha bros wetin you want do for me so let bygones be bygones uncle T
your tone seems quite pissed off plz let this thread run its course without it being derailed by difference of views Uncle T no one fit come between us wetin [LAUGH] |

" Viginoplasty". There is also another one called LabiaplastyWonders, indeed, shall never end!
labiaplasty is Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that will reduce and/or reshape the labia minora – the skin that covers the clitoris and vaginal opening.
The purpose of a Labiaplasty is to better define the inner labia. It is especially suitable for those women who dislike the large protuberant appearance of their labia minora. This may cause embarrassment with a sexual partner. The overly large labia minora can also result in constant irritation in tight trousers and/or underwear. Some women are born with large labia, others may develop this condition with childbirth or age. what has this got to do with the thread in the first place and there is nothing like virginplasty!!! so i do not leap or jump before i think. The thread seemed serious before that was introduced into it i have not insulted anyone i am not going to beat a dead horse to death i have already posted a response to you, but just to let you know i am aware of what the procedure is and it was not relevant at all to the thread but Unlce T i have got your back the other person i do not care what he thinks he can rant and rave i have said sorry and never will call him an elder again
since he states "Thanks, once more, for the unsolicited snide remarks, misdirected aggression and insults you visited on my person. I like it, seeing that I am a seasoned egoless masochist."
well just to get my point across i am not prude or naive just i would of loved the thread to have flowed the way it was going with us learning something new .
well Uncle T i rest my case where the sun does shine no pun intended there! and cyberspace is free so i will waka as i please and i will put my views across when i feel like
as a friend to another friend Uncle T i do not hold grudges and i forgive you for being pissed with me. Also if you still feel i am still wrong get me the actual article you read on this particular topic and l will eat my words if the article exists... |

| Re: Scientists are growing customized breast implants from stem cells. This is great news!
First of all, women who've undergone procedures such as masectomies, have a real hope of regenerating their breasts.
Secondly, and very importantly too, in my estimation, is that silicone implants can be done-away with, eventually. I have never been a great fan of silicone implants; the breasts feel hard and are almost impersonal to the touch, unlike the real ones that feel so succulent and inviting, with just the right amount of 'rebound tenderness'.
Since real body tissues will be used, I take it that the problems highlighted in my immediately preceding paragraph will be rectified. Obrigada
DW

Dear EMJ
thank you for your words i do not think i did, Uncle T is alright and the other person i have apologized to him,, since i was not talking to him but he took it upon himself if you did read my response i have said i want the thread to go on regarding the actual issue so i will not be responding to any thing regarding what i said anymore. so my dear thank you for you insight. he said he is not an elder in the square so he may take offence to you calling him an elder in cyberspace "For your enlightenment and general information, no one goes about the Village under the intoxicating notion of being a so-called "Elder" (in cyberspace of all places!)." AFYI, i once posted the same info that Uncle-Tisha posted during a debate on something closer to feminine issue well i guess since you are a female it may have gone down better with me if i had read it but as i said my views, i am allowed them.
but again thanks for your friendly advice emj remain blessed.

Thank you to you, "Eni Olorun da ko se clone" - It is impossicant!
As my Beam has said, I'm alright!
I think it was just a big misunderstanding. We are kissing now and making up...Abi no be so Beam?
On a lighter note, I once watched an interview in Naija where General Ayinla Kollington (Kebe 'n' Kwara) was accused of teaching bad language in his popular song "Ijo Yoyo". He was accused of using the phrase "Ta lo ni B ok ot o" (Who get B ok ot o?).
Now, for the uninitiated, B ok ot o is the juiciest part of Cow meat/leg and it is also a street slang for big bum.
Kollington's response?
"Lati oj o ti alaye ti da aiye, Idi ni Idi nj e. T'a ba fe pon le laa fun l'oruk o miran!" (From time immemorial, nyansh na nyash. Na when we want beautify am we dey call am by other names!)
@DW,
Would you be so kind as to expantiate on the following theme of yours, for the benefit of some of us who do not have similar hands-on experience? Why una take style to yab me now? Which kind tins? I tink say nyash na pidgin word now. Why una tink say e no be pidgin?
Wetin be patois? According to our friend, Webster, patois na: (1) regional dialect, or (2) substandard or illiterate speech. As for (2), ah know say una never hear me speak before so you no fit know weda my speech remain small. Make we live dat side.
So, as for (1), ah no fit oblige you o. No vex. This na Nigeria Village Square, which mean say Nigerian languages suppose full ground in my own eye sha. Di tin wey ah no like na make person blow im Naija language finish den, make e no translate to Oyinbo. Dat wan na orijo rudeness because oda pipul supoz read wetin person write. And if na regional language, chances dey say person wey no dey from dat region fit no get am. Even sef, if u put me wit Ijebu pipul inside room, dem fit sell me for market. But, when we wan form, we go talk say all of us na yoruba and na true. So, na so ah see dis language matter. Wetin u tink?
In fact, anoda wan be say regional dialect of wetin?

Comrade Nero!
Na wah o. Nyansh na pidgin english for bum-bum. The Don himself can confirm that as one of our Resident Professors on Pidgin literature.
To put it into context for you, here's a TRUE story:
I was in a bus one day several years ago in Lagos, going from Awolowo Road to Obalende through Keffi Rd. When we got to the bus-stop behind Dodan Barracks (where there is a thriving Mammy market), we overheard a woman trader screaming at another woman trader:
Mama Paulina! Mama Paulina! I don dey warn you since say make you no dey slap my pikin fo nyansh o! You wan break im bl ok os? : (Mama Paulina, I've been warning you not to slap my child on his bum-bum. Do you want to break his 'Willy'?)
So there you have the meaning of nyansh and context of usage.
For more information, please listen to Fela Anikulapo Kuti's "Army Arrangement" (the opening sequence)
